Build Time: In No Time
Until partering with us, the Africa Voices Trust had no online presence except for social media. A website was in the works, but due to timeline constraints and some delays on the project, the Trust needed a website up, and fast.
Thanks to our easy editor and quick, helpful collaboration, Build and the Africa Voices Trust built the Trust website together. The lion's share of the design work was completed within a day, and the site was ready for launch within three.
Build's editor is so simple, if you have ever used a word processor like Microsoft Word, you already know how to use it. It's very easy for someone who knows nothing about web design to create a gorgeous website in no time.
Over its four year history, Africa Voices Trust has been present at and has sponsored a long list of events. The Africa Voices Trust artists have performed with local South African stars such as Karen Zoid and Zebra & Giraffe, and internationally acclaimed artists such as songster Josh Groban.
The media from these events, including videos and photos, needed to be presented elegantly and in a user-friendly way. Using a simple page template for a gallery, the built-in gallery plugin, and YouTube embeds, the Trust's gallery is a perfect showcase for the work that the Trust does.
Build makes it easy to set up media pages such as these to showcase photography and other media, and so is a great choice to set up a site for showcasing photography, design work or other portfolio items.
News and Events
The Africa Voices Trust regularly posts updates about upcoming events and news bulletins relating to the Trust and its artists. As such, they needed a platform to easily show all of these updates, which is easy to maintain and manage. Using Build's templating system, the News and Events page was built to show all of this in an aesthetically pleasing way.
The News and Events page shows the Trust's growing list of upcoming events. Each event has its own page, with details about the event including date, time, venue, performers and ticket cost. A record of past events is also kept.
News about the Trust and press releases by the Trust are shown, and the Trust also maintains a small archive of press clippings.
As a non-profit, the Africa Voices Trust relies on donations from investors, partners and patrons. Investors include companies and corporations who want to build their corporate social responsibility, and patrons of the arts.
The donations page shows a strong, yet understated call to action, urging visitors to donate, and shows different payment options and instructions for payment. Potential donors are given a clear indication what they will be receiving in return for their donation, including BBBEE points, music and media resources and a listing on the trust's Ambassadors and Patrons page. The donations are collected via Africa Voices' chosen crowdfunding platform, Givengain.
